Top 10 Cute Food

Okay so stumbled across some amazingly cute food online today. Here are the top ten cute food items I found (in no particular order)

1. I wish I could make cupcakes like these! I once tried my hand at fondant, only to get orange and black food coloring all over myself. Plus I kind of hate the taste of fondant. But it is really fun to work with!

2. Best thing ever! The original Cookie Monster was definitely the best. I don't know what's up with this veggie monster against childhood obesity. Yeah...kids are really going to watch the veggie monster and then eat better. Totally makes sense. Or the parents could just implement healthy eating habits in their home from the beginning.

3. Okay I know I know another cupcake but this is just precious!

4. Reminds me of the puppy I take care of every week! I wish we all looked at the world with puppy eyes sometimes - it's good to be curious and spend time embracing the beauty in life.

5. I don't think I could bring myself to eat this! It would be cute if someone made it for their friends' birthday. "peas in a pod" :)

6. Latte art always amazes me. This must have taken several tries! Hurray for my favorite animal.
7. Yes, that is an actual mini cheeseburger. If they did portions this big I would be so down! America's portion-sizing is pretty nasty, I must say. 8. Japanese bento art is so cool! This mom must really love her kid hahaha. Or have no life. Or live vicariously through the kid....which is not cute.
9. Totally something I would do. I love to find smiley faces in nature or in objects. Reminds me to stay optimistic :)

10. This is my favorite since I looove cats. I would be so proud of myself if I could make this. It is absolute perfection!

Cute and Irish

If you want manly cute, you want Ireland. I know this is a day late, but hey, why not celebrate the Irish twice? :)

I found some incredibly adorable St. Patty's pups:

On the left is a pug, which I find adorable because they all look like little old men trapped in dog form. I believe on the right are Pomeranian pups. Let me just tell you that Pomeranians are kind of insane, but very very cute which kind of makes up for the lack of intelligence etc.

Besides dogs, there is another species that looks cute and is Irish. It's us. Irish men are so cute!
Take actor Jonathan Rhys-Meyers for example:

I hope you all drank a lot of water today and were safe last night! Being hungover is not cute! Usually.

Here's to an awesomely adorable Thursday night for all.

The OGs of Cute

So you may be wondering why I have combined French, Japanese, and English in my blog title. Or not. I don't really care because like it or not, I am now going to explain why I did that.

Anyway, my mom was born and raised in Japan...long story short, though we are not ethnically Japanese, we are quite bi-cultural, and I have spent a lot of time in Japan...probably cumulatively two years worth and I usually visit every year or every other year. So it's an important part of my life.

Secondly, my mom lives in France as of last September so I have been learning French culture as well. Both cultures have a lot of cute. Mainly Japan - France is more elegant.

Basically Japanese people are the OGs of cuteness. They just know how to do it.

Exhibit A:
This is Fruits Basket, my favorite anime. It is retardedly cute - each character has a zodiac animal they turn into, except for Tohru, the girl in the center, whose icon is an onigiri or rice ball. When she hugs members of the zodiac that are male, they turn into whatever animal they are and then when they change back, they change back naked. How prim and cute but subtly erotic. It's what the Japanese do best.

Exhibit B:
Panda shaped cream puffs! Saw this while in Harajuku, Japan and had to take a picture. I literally stopped in my tracks upon observing this since sweets and pandas are only two of my favorite things in the world.

So as you can see, Japan pretty much has it down. There is even a word for couples that dress the same, and girls often talk in high pitched, hyper-feminine voices.

I rest my case.

Kisses,
Nora
